Norson, first Mexican pork company to export to Africa

Last Friday, the first shipment of Mexican pork left to Angola.

Norson’s senior export sales and logistics manager Ricardo Tochijara shared that the first shipment included 23 tons of frozen pork.
“This is our first shipment to Africa. The current population on the continent is over 1.2 billion people and around 50% are a potential market for pork products. Africa has many emerging economies with a young population like Angola, this represents an ideal opportunity for our products. We are diversifying our markets.”

Norson’s international destinations are: Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and recently New Zealand and Angola.
“We are doing everything in our power to open up new markets. We are awaiting the approval of the sanitary protocols between Mexico and the Philippines, Australia and Russia. SENASICA is currently negotiating with the counterparts in each country”.

Congratulations to our partner Norson for becoming the first Mexican pork company to export products to Angola!
